Trustees Meeting

July 26,2023

Present:  Marty Bender, Cathryn Clark-Dawe, Nancy Picthall-French, Denise Lawless

Meeting start: 4:03

Secretary’s Report:  no changes

Treasurer's Report:  Question about a payment that did not go through-Zoom?  Marty and Cathryn will check the Zoom account.  Replenish checking when it is below $1000 to keep this from happening again.

Director’s Report:  Summer reading program going well with large attendance.

Old Business:  

 Library Assistant:  Julia is doing very well with all duties.

Director’s compensation package was updated in a non-public session.  Do we have a  description for the director's job?  If yes, likely needs to be updated.  Check next month.

Book Challenge training will be addressed next month but we will plan on training on first amendment audit challenge through the NH Municipal Association and will share details.  Possible a Monday evening training.

New Business:  

Cathryn:  Jury duty is over.  Vacation:  8/13,14,16 Assistant will work 8/13.  Webster Conservation Commission will join the library in a presentation of tick information 9/23.  Donation from Phil and Mary Lou Desmaris.

Marty:  Ordering checks, no August movie (old home day weekend).  New cards form bank for Cathryn and Marty.

Denise:   Thank you cards sent to Susie Roberts and Linda Hoyt-Clark

Nancy:  August meeting to discuss the budget  and review the Computer Use and Internet Policy.
