The Tax Collector's office is responsible for collecting revenue for property taxes, current use, yield and excavation taxes. We strive to respond to all inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
The tax year runs from April 1 to March 31. Property taxes are billed semi-annually, due in July and December. The July bill is an estimated bill, based on 1/2 of the previous year's tax rate times the assessed value of the property. Tax rates are set by the State Department of Revenue Administration in October. The December bill is calculated with the new tax rate, multiplied by the property assessment, less the bill that was due in July.
The tax maps and property cards are located at the Assessor's office in the Town Hall, 945 Battle Street, Webster, NH 03303. Contact the Assessor's office at (603) 648-2272 for inquiries about veteran credits, elderly tax exemptions and abatement requests.
