Town Clerk

Duties

The Town Clerk’s duties are vast.  Some of the general duties include registering motor vehicles and boats, licensing dogs, and issuing marriage licenses; as well as birth, death and divorce certificates.  The Office also administers elections, absentee ballots, and voter registrations.  The Clerk maintains Town records, IRS and other liens, and oaths of office.  In additon, the Office processes wetlands applications and issues landfill permits.
