Trustee Meeting

4/26/23

Present:  Nancy Picthall-French, Cathryn Clark-Dawe, Denise Lawless

Zoom:  Marty Bender

Secretary’s Report:  Accepted

Treasurer’s Report: Cathryn and Marty will check on an uncategorized expense of #100.00.  Check bank cards.  Strawberry Bank membership was renewed.

Director’s report:  Accepted

Cathryn did attend a first amendment seminar.  People are going into public libraries with recording devices attempting to create a confrontation.  They can do this under the 1st amendment.  We discussed creating a PRIVATE area where they will not be able to record or film.  Volunteers will be advised.

Old Business:

Webster Gardeners:  Plant swap canceled

Library Assistant:  Assistant should be trained in all aspects of library work.  Hours?  High School diploma minimum,  some library experience preferred.  Cathryn will write up job description and email it to us for review.  Print and make comments, return to Cathryn.  Then we will post it.

Director’s Evaluation:  Nancy proposed non -public, seconded by Denise.

Discussion.

Proposal by Nancy to return to public session, seconded by Denise.

NHLTA WOM (West of the Merrimack)

June 10 1:30 -3:00  We will arrive at noon, and are able to set up Friday 6/9.  We will get to the hall at 4pm.  We will provide snacks(Nancy and Denise), lemonade (Cathryn)and water. 

There will be an intro speech. 

Nancy or Marty will provide some info on the history of the library building.  Marty will call Robin Lampron to get more history on the church building.

Topics will be chosen by the NHLTA

Denise:  Nothing

Nancy:  Nancy will drive to the library conference 5/9/23.  Meet at the library parking lot at 7:30.
