Old Business

Dot Bourque did not have any participants at her first Computer Café held on the second Monday of the month.  The Computer Café is a free service offered by Dot that offers individualized instruction on your personal laptop or tablet.

There will be a movie, Bernie the Dolphin, on Thursday, April 25 at 2 p.m.  Set up will be at 1 p.m.  Nancy will bring animal crackers.  Leslie will bring a tablecloth and water.  We will hang the black curtains.  John Collins will rehang the movie screen.

The Pollinator Presentation by Donna Miller will be held on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m.  The chairs and projector will be set up from the movie on April 25.  We will arrive at 6:30.

The Select Board has accepted our invitation to hold their June 4 meeting in the library at 5:30.

David Carroll is scheduled on 9-27-19 at 7 p.m. in the Meeting Hall.

Marty will contact the Astronomical Society during his next volunteer meeting and set up a date for a presentation preferably for Oct.  Marty will report back to us.

Nancy drafted a cover letter for an informational packet about the library for new residents.  Revisions were made and a copy will be presented at the May meeting for final approval.  Revisions were made to an updated library pamphlet and it will also be submitted for final approval at the next meeting.

Cathryn has ordered a NH State Park Pass for $105, which covers 2 adults and 4 children.  The pass has some exclusions (The Flume, Cannon Tramway, Wallis Sands, Hampton, camping and parking meters).  The pass is generated online for the date requested and then a paper copy is given to the patron.  Only one pass for a specific date may be printed.

Cathryn requested A. Timmins’ email address so she can inquire about an extra computer cord she has found.  Cathryn donated a tick remover and some zip lock bags to the Hiking Backpack.  Cathryn wondered if she could put both a bookmark in the Literacy Bags for newborns and a coupon for free books for siblings which would be redeemable at our annual book sale.  Cathryn will order more materials for Makerplay Mondays.

Marty will purchase five more butterfly chairs for the movies.  He will pick out the May movie shown on Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. and will put the announcement in the Grapevine.

Leslie will prepare the message board for both the movie and the Pollinator Presentation.  Leslie inquired about the attendance at Dot’s first “Computer Café”.  She inquired if the content at the Regional Meeting in Warner was appropriate for our library since we do not have a Friends Group.  Nancy clarified the purpose of the meeting stating that the invitation was extended to the Friends Group rather than a Friends Group being the general topic for the evening.

Nancy will email Bert Saul (amsaul54@gmail.com) and enroll Marty as a participant at Pillsbury Library’s Regional Meeting in Warner on May 1.  Nancy will pick us up at the Library at 5 p.m.  Nancy requested that gift cards for presenters and postage stamps for the Welcome Packets be purchased in advance.

The Trustees will be attending the NHLTA Conference on May 29 from 8-3:30 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown Hotel in Manchester.

The meeting ended at 5:25 p.m.  The next meeting of the Webster Free Public Library will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Leslie Collins, Secretary
