Webster Free Public Library
Special Trustees Meeting
February 9, 2019
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. Present were Nancy Picthall-French, Chairperson and Marty Bender, Treasurer. Leslie Collins and Cathryn Clark-Dawe were absent.
New Business
The Candidate Meet and Greet event is scheduled for March 9 at the library. Each candidate for Select Board will have one hour to speak and take questions from the audience. Bianca Acebron Peco will have from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and Ray Scott will have from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The library will do the following:
Publicize the event on the library Facebook page as well as the Webster Facebook page and also in the Concord Monitor
The library will provide light refreshments (to be determined at the Feb. trustee meeting) as well as doing the set-up and take-down.
The free movie will start at 2:00 p.m. The movie will be determined at the Feb. trustee meeting.
Nancy will email both candidates.
The Library Director’s yearly evaluation is scheduled for the annual meeting in March.
At the February Trustees Meeting there will be a discussion about coordinating the goals in the ten year plan with the goals the director chooses for the 2019 year.
At the March Trustees Meeting, the 2018 goals will be presented orally and with a written component consisting of one or two paragraphs describing how each goal was achieved.
At the March Trustees Meeting, the trustees will determine a date to have a special meeting to discuss the director’s evaluation. This will be conducted in a non-public session, and will consist of drafting a written evaluation of the director’s 2018 goals.
After the regular business at the April Trustees Meeting, the board and the director will go into a non-public session to discuss the director’s evaluation. Marty will check to see if we can use the meeting room in the Town Hall once a date is determined.
The meeting ended at 4:55 p.m. The next meeting of the board is on February 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
