The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m.  Present were Nancy Picthall-French, Chairperson, Marty Bender, Treasurer and Leslie Collins, Secretary.  Cathryn Clark-Dawe was absent due to illness.

The Secretary’s report for December was reviewed and accepted.

The Treasurer’s report for December was reviewed and accepted.

Old Business

Marty has sent the Webster Congregational Church a check for $50.00 in memory of Sue Barnes.

The next movie, Glass Castle, will be on Saturday, 3-9-19 at 2 p.m. at the Meeting Room in the Town Hall following a Meet & Greet.  The two candidates running for Select Board will speak, Bianca Acebron Peco at 1 p.m. and Ray Scott at 2 p.m.  Linda Amos has volunteered to bring cookies.  Leslie C. will bring drinks and decomposable cups.  The tablecloth used for movies is in the storage room at the library.  Nancy will bring napkins, etc.  The Trustees will arrive at 10:30 for set up.

At this time, the Trustees feel that purchasing a server is not necessary.  We will utilize the services the Cloud offers until it no longer serves our purposes.

Presentation ideas were reviewed.  Nancy will gather information about the cost and availability of David Carroll from Warner.  Marty will do the same for the NH Astronomical Society for October.

The Pollinator presentation by Donna Miller is Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m.

Nancy will draft a cover letter for an informational packet that will inform new residents about the library.  Leslie will bring the library stationary.  Other items in the packet might include our pamphlet, bookmark and a copy of the information about Webster on both sides of the back page of the town report.

Nancy completed flyers for the Andrew Timmins presentation on 3-29-19 at 7 p.m.  She has advertised extensively.  Nancy will bring animal crackers and cupcake papers as dishes.  She will also purchase a $50 gift card from The  Common Man as a thank you.  Leslie will bring “bare” water, tablecloth and napkins.

The Trustees Annual Meeting to elect officers will be held 3-27-19 at 4:00 p.m. The Director’s evaluation presentation will be held at the same meeting.  Cathryn will present a paragraph for each of her goals to the Trustees.  The date for a special non-public Trustee Meeting will also be determined at this meeting to develop a written document of the Director’s goals and objectives for the upcoming year.  The goals and objectives should encompass the Master Plan of the library.  Goals and objectives should reflect growth in new/different areas and be different from the ones in the past.

New Business

Marty inquired if butterfly chairs would not be more comfortable for movies.  The Trustees agreed to purchase ten chairs from Walmart within the $35.00 price range.  Marty will order.

Leslie will prepare the message board for the March movie and put it outside.  It will be two sided, one side for the March movie and the other side for the Meet & Greet.  Leslie will arrive early for Dot Bourque’s computer classes and make sure the entryways are shoveled.  Leslie will see if a cart she has might work for the computer classes.  Nancy will cover for Leslie when she is not available. (Dot has scheduled classes on Fridays from 1-3 p.m. on 3/1, 3/8, 3/22.  Leslie will let Nancy know if she is unable to attend.)  Leslie will be delivering two more Celebration Bags to the Food Pantry in March since they were not delivered in February.

Nancy requested that $50 be paid to the Conservation Commission for the Pollinator presentation.  All agreed.  Marty will send a check the first week in March.

The meeting ended at 5:25 p.m.  The next meeting of the Webster Free Public Library will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Leslie Collins, Secretary
