The Board of Selectmen is recommending that $48,000 be put in the previously established Capital Reserve for the next fire truck. As of July 22, 2012 the balance in that Capital Reserve Account is $54,990.35. The Town had enough funds to pay for the latest fire truck outright. The money received from the sale of the 1991 Emergency One Fire Truck, which was $15,000, was put in the General Fund. It is anticipated that there will be a Warrant Article in the 2013 Town Warrant to take this $15,000 for surplus and put it in the Capital Reserve for the next apparatus purchase.
