Imagine Your Story at our 2020 Summer Reading Program:

Beginning July 1, record how many minutes you have read so far, and continue to record how many minutes you have read each week after that.  For each week you have recorded any minutes I will send you a weekly packet that has some information on fairy tales, a joke, an activity sheet, and instructions and materials for an easy craft project.  For each 60 minutes you have read, you will earn one bead to add to your brag tag chain, and that will also be included in your weekly packet.

If you read for 300 minutes, you’ll win a small prize of your choice—a unicorn headband, unicorn slingshot, or dragon glider.  You’ll also be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to Gibson’s bookstore in Concord.

If you read for a total of 600 minutes, you’ll get a 2nd chance to win the gift certificate.

We will have three virtual storytimes during July—details to be revealed later.

The Summer Reading Program ends July 29.

Remember, the whole point of a Summer Reading Program is to have fun reading!

For parents: Having on online program is new to me and there will probably be some kinks to work out.  Let me know of any problems, and please bear with me during this learning curve! There will be no end-of-program performer this year.  Hopefully, by next year things will be back to normal, whatever that may be. Most of you will have to help out your kids with the registration and record-keeping.  If you know of anyone whose children would enjoy the program but who do not have computer access, please encourage them to give me a call at 648-2706 and we will work out a different way of participating.
