Trustees Meeting by Teleconference

Wednesday, April 8, 2020

The teleconference began at 4:15 p.m.  Present were Nancy Picthall-French, Chairperson, Marty Bender, Treasurer, and Leslie Collins, Secretary.  The teleconference took place on FreeConferenceCall.com.

The Secretary’s reports for 3-25-2020 was reviewed and approved.

The Treasurer’s report for April 7, 2020 was reviewed and approved.

Old Business

The carpet has not been cleaned and the cleaning is postponed until further notice.  Marty sent Michael a letter explaining he would continue receiving a paycheck during the coronavirus.

New Business

Nancy inquired how we felt about the Giving/Angel Tree idea. After a discussion about confidentiality and logistics, Nancy offered to contact Dot Bourque and refer her to Leslie Palmer, Webster’s Welfare Officer.

A discussion about whether or not Cathryn should be ordering and advertising new books, ended in a consensus that Cathryn’s input/insights were needed.

Ideas for celebrating the library’s reopening were brainstormed.  Nancy asked that we keep thinking about ideas and/or activities and it will be discussed again in two weeks.

The teleconference ended at 4:42 p.m.  The next teleconference will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Leslie Collins, Secretary
