Trustees Meeting

March 14, 2020

The meeting was called to order at 11:50 a.m.  Present were Nancy Picthall-French, Chairperson, Marty Bender, Treasurer, and Leslie Collins, Secretary.

The purpose of the meeting was to develop procedures the library will follow during the impact of the coronavirus.

The Trustees made the following decisions unanimously:

Cathryn will either work from home or work at the library when patrons are not present.

For the month of March, the library will be open on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4-8 p.m.  The Trustees will rotate through Sundays.  The volunteers and Trustees will rotate through Wednesdays according to the usual Wednesday night schedule.  Anyone may make the choice not to work at the library if they have any reservations or feel compromised in any way.  Leslie will contact Karen and Marty will contact Julia.  Nancy will contact Dot Bourque and inquire if the Historical Society is going ahead with their presentation on 3-19 with Terry Knowles.

Sunday, March 15, 1-3 p.m. will be covered by Marty

Wednesday, March 18, 4-8 p.m. will be covered by Leslie and Karen

Sunday, March 22, 1-3 will be covered by Leslie

Wednesday, March 25, 4-8 p.m. will be covered by Marty

Sunday, March 29, 1-3 p.m. will be covered by Nancy (pending news of Larry’s return)

All other gatherings at the Library will be cancelled for the month of March:  Movie Night (3-20), Book Club (3-26) and Squam Lake Science Center presentation (3-28).

The Trustees will meet for the Trustee Meeting on 3-25 at 4 p.m.

Michael will clean the library and scrub all surfaces.  Leslie will take the toy bin home and wash all the toys.

The books will be scrubbed with wipes as they are returned to the library, both from the Book Return Box and the return shelf.

Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available at the library.

Nancy will communicate these procedures on the Webster Facebook page, Pillsbury Lake Facebook page, the Webster Library Facebook page and in the Concord Monitor.  Marty will make a sign for the Library door and will do the Message Board.  Cathryn will post the information on the Town Website on the Library page.

Before coming to the library, the patrons and volunteers are asked to call ahead to make sure someone is at the library and to also make sure Cathryn is not at the library.

Any of these procedures may change at any time as updated reports evolve regarding the coronavirus.

At the end of March, the Trustees will reassess the updated statistics on the coronavirus and will make informed decisions for the safety of the patrons, staff and volunteers.

Nancy called Cathryn at 12:45 p.m. and reviewed the proposed procedures.  Cathryn agreed to the changes.

The meeting ended at 12:45 p.m.  The next Trustee Meeting will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Leslie Collins, Secretary
