Changes Made to Cemetery Rules
Corner stones are required to be placed on lot after it is accepted.

1984      Report: No permanent shrubs or flowering plants allowed. Flowers will be allowed in one place on each lot. It can be around a big stone or at a head or foot stone but not both. If a lot has no stone, flowers may be placed in one spot on it. Please do not use glass containers due to breakage.

1986      Article 15: Cemetery lot to be limited to residents or taxpayers only unless space is available in pre-existing lots.

1994      Report: Due to a few unmarked graves we feel we have to impose a new regulation. A stone marker with at least the person’s name, is to be placed on the grave within a year.

December 30, 1996: January 1, 1997 water proof vaults for all burials except cremations.
Webster cemeteries are closed to all burials after a significant snowfall at the discretion of the Cemetery Trustees.

November 1999: If a funeral home is not involved in the actual cemetery opening, the fee for opening the ground must be paid in full before the ground is disturbed.

All burials of vaults or urns are done by the person that the Trustees use for opening the cemetery graves. They are the only persons allowed to dig and bury in Webster Cemeteries.
